BSAC Thailand
Since the formation of the British Sub Aqua Club in 1953, the BSAC has evolved to offer an enormous curriculum of diver training and diving related activities. BSAC’s diver training provides comprehensive information, skills and techniques, from beginner right through to expert level. So whether you want to learn to dive, or need to develop the skills to execute advanced dive expeditions to remote areas, with BSAC you’ll get the training you need.
BSAC isn’t new to Thailand.
Historically, with BSAC’s headquarters being located in the UK, one of the complications for dive operators wishing to provide BSAC training abroad has been sourcing teaching materials, and issuing certifications. Also, some of the courses are specifically targeted towards the UK market, rather than warm water diving. BSAC Thailand sets things straight, providing full regional support for BSAC Schools in Thailand, processing all certifications locally and tailoring course curriculums towards diving in the tropics. In addition to allowing easy access to BSAC training, BSAC Thailand liaises with other BSAC organizations throughout the world, developing an international network through which BSAC Members can travel to Thailand and enjoy our fantastic diving. Most notably the UK, Japan, Korea, the Middle East and ever increasingly China has large numbers of active BSAC Members. In Thailand, our work encompasses several areas: As such our team comprises technical, commercial and logistical staff speaking both English and Thai to make all this possible. We also have capacity for BSAC’s other key markets such as Japan, Korea and China.
BSAC President, HRH Prince Charles offered this message of support:
"This project promises to have important benefits for both Thai and British divers and to develop and strengthen links that go back more than 40 years. "The creation of B.S.A.C. Thailand will develop a credible national Thai diver and instructor training system. This, we hope, will lead to greater involvement of Thai nationals in this important tourism market, as well as a better understanding of the environmental needs of the seas around Thailand. "B.S.A.C also hopes this project will also encourage many of the thousands of British tourists learning to dive in Thailand to continue their experience by bcoming B.S.A.C members in the U.K. "This cooperation will benefit divers in both Thailand and the U.K, with yet more educated eyes observing and reporting on the state of our underwater heritage."

BSAC Thailand brings one of the oldest and most respected diver training agencies to South-East Asia.
In fact, as long ago as 1968, a Thai student named Charin Chesapadan whilst studying medicine in the UK joined the Liverpool Branch of the BSAC. Following his return to Thailand, for more than 40 years Dr. Charin has implemented and developed the BSAC educational system within the Thai university hierarchy, training many hundreds of divers.
