Topic : M/V Oktavia Similan Islands

Have been out quite a few times with these guys now and every time I see somethin new...The corals have returned this season and are full of color unlike last season when the weather affected the marine life...

Oktavia have some great guys and gals working for them who are always willing to pull out the stops just to make my Thailand diving trip the muts nuts. The liveaboards are a great way, for people like me, to dive morning, noon and night and the prices are pretty good too.

In my book Oktavia comes high for Similan diving...

Not sure of a website but here's a link to their Facebook page

The Similans just rock for diving for me in Thailand. I've done Tao & Phi Phi a few times but my heart belongs off the coast of Khao Lak...

Was due to fly Thailand for this dive trip but airline has gone bust and alternative flights are way too expensive at such short notice.

We have a non refundable trip booked for 2 people (twin cabin) leaving Phuket / Khao Lak on 30th December for 4 nights.

Trip / boat details can be found at http://www.sunrise-divers.com/similan_islands_white_manta.php

Trip cost over £1000 so all offers considered.

February, March and April are the best times to see the big stuff- i.e. Whale Sharks and Mantas etc.

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, one will be the Underwater Navigation dive and another the Deep dive (between 18 - 30 metres). You and your instructor will choose the other 3 from 15 different Adventure Dives. You might try your hand at digital underwater photography, wreck diving, night diving or peak performance buoyancy.

Topic : New Wreck in Koh Tao

After much speculations and rumors around the Gulf of Thailand dive community, the announcement of the sinking of a new wreck, off the coast of Koh Tao was released. This new wreck will add to the Trident wreck that was sunk several months ago.

The ship is called HMS Satakut. The vessel is 48 - metres in length with a beam of 7 metres. The total height of the wreck from the keel to the top of the mast is 18 metres. The wreck will lie at a depth of 32 metres with the deck and superstructure area being around the 20 to 25 metre depth range. This depth will make the wreck suitable for most levels of certify divers.

The proposed location of the wreck is going to be approximately 300 - metres to the Southwest of Hin Pee Wee pinnacle.

Accurate GPS coordinates will be posted once the wreck as been sank

My name is Emma Millett and I have recently passed as a BSAC Thailand Open Water Instructor. I completed my BSAC Assistant Open Water Instructor's in the UK and I am currently on my travels in Thailand and recently visited Ko Tao, where I completed my O.W Instructor with BSAC
Thailand. It wasnt just the warm water but the warm welcome, great support and teaching standards made my visit to Thailand thoroughly
enjoyable and highly rewarding and I strongly recommend it!

Topic : Thailand Travel and Dive Expo show - Bangkok

Unfortunately, we canceled the TDEX show due to the previous Bangkok protesters. We thought that the support for the show would be poor, however, reports said that the show went well with a decent turn out.

We did attend the Malaysian International Dive Expo (MIDE) and we received good support from our BSAC Malaysian members and the general public.

We have already committed ourselves to TDEX 2011 and we will probably be attending the MIDE show too.
