Subject :Tecnical Diving Thailand | Cave Diving and Wreck Dive Combo | Sept 2010
Early September 2010 [in conjunction with BSAC Premier Centre Masterdivers] is exciting back to back combination of technical diving trips, combining deep wreck diving and cave diving.
First we’ll make a 3 day tech diving live-aboard charter on the tech diving vessel MV Trident departing from Koh Tao (Gulf of Thailand) on 10th September 2010. We’ll dive the wreck of the fantastic HTMS Phangan (Thai Military vessel) lying in 60M of blue water north of Koh Tao, plus dive a nearby coastal tanker lying upright in 60M. We’ll be making two technical dives per day, supporting both open circuit and ccr (rebreather) divers. Nitrox and trimix gases are available on board.
Following the three days of wreck diving, we’ll then transfer to the Thai mainland for a two day cave diving expedition, heading to nearby Khao Sok National Park. Khao Sok has stunning scenery – limestone cliffs, dense jungle and an enormous lake.
The huge 165 sq kilometer lake was formed 30 years ago resulting from the construction of a hydroelectric dam, apparently flooding three villages, large areas of valley and rain forest and lots of limestone solution caves.
Over two days we’ll dive our favorite cave diving sites including Temple Cave, Par Daeng (the Red Cave) and ‘Craig’s Cave’. There’s an opportunity to get some depth in a dive we refer to as ‘The Forest dive’ out inthe open lake, plus we can dedicate some time to exploring new cave diving sites if divers are interested.
This tech diving trip combines fantastic wreck diving, cave diving and picturesque scenery making an unforgettable diving experience in Thailand. We're fitting a lot of diverse technical diving into a concise schedule.
Places are still available - the trip is open to all levels of techn diver [qualified to make deco dives to at least 50M].
