Hey guys,

Are any of you travelling to Thailand soon or there at the moment?  I'm planning to arrive in Bangkok at the beginning of april and dive as much as possible before june.  It will be my first solo trip, any advice on locations, dive schools, etc would be greatly appreciated.  I'm currently an ocean diver in the UK, ive just got one more skill to complete before i can be signed off, would it be possible to do this at a dive school in Thailand if i dont get a chance to do a dive with my club beforehand? Do any of you know a good dive school to complete the sport diver qualification?

If you are over on the west coast of thailand there are several schools you could contact to complete your Ocean diver course, you can find their contact details on the dive center page of this website, in phuket there is Sea Bees Diving and over in Krabi there is Manta Point, both will be able to finish off your course and offer you plenty of diving. If you are planning on coming to the gulf there are also several schools in koh tao that will be able to help you out, these would be Dive Point, South East Asia Explorers Club and Sairee Cottage, again all these guys can complete your course and offer you plenty of diving. If you contact them directly by email they will be able to help you out with accomodation too

Hi Jess,

 

If you could get to Loch Fyne on Saturday 13 March for the South Scotland Regional training, we could finish off your Ocean Diver before you go.  Or one of my Branch members (all instructors) could fit it in some other time.
